In the press: Tech.eu, one of Europe’s leading voices on innovation and startups, has profiled 32Co and our mission to unlock access to specialist care.

Cate Lawrence sat down with Founder & CEO Dr. Sonia Szamocki to highlight how 32Co is transforming the way general dentists deliver orthodontics, by giving them the tools, training, and support to provide specialist-grade care locally. With only around 1,000 orthodontists in the UK serving a population of more than 60 million, demand for treatment far outstrips supply. Our model addresses this gap head-on.

Training for Confidence and Safety

As covered in the article, we’ve built a training pathway designed to set dentists up for success. From the Starter Course to our more advanced Stretch Course, we prepare clinicians to deliver clear aligner therapy with the right balance of autonomy and expert support.

Dentists can practise in DUO mode, collaborating with orthodontists, or move towards SOLO mode, where they retain autonomy with the reassurance of specialist back-up. Crucially, training is designed from the ground up with safety in mind:

“You could offer a doctor a million pounds … and they’ll still say no unless they’re confident it’s safe. Innovation has to meet clinicians where they are.” – Dr. Sonia Szamocki.

Expanding Specialist Care

The Tech.eu piece also explores how we’re going further than orthodontics. By leveraging AI to reduce admin burdens and by expanding into areas like sleep and sleep apnea care, we’re building a platform that makes high-quality specialist treatments more accessible, affordable, and local.

Our Mission

At 32Co, our mission is simple: empower clinicians, improve patient access, and raise the standard of care. As Dr. Sonia Szamocki told Tech.eu:

“Access to specialist care is limited, expensive, and often inconvenient. I wanted to build technology that enables general clinicians — doctors and dentists — to deliver the kind of specialist care you'd usually only get in a hospital.”
